2nd Class - Finishing touches. Final steps will be demonstrated and completled. You mauy complete your canvas with your own finishing touches.
After this class, you will come away with the techniques which may be used in future paintlings. At the end of the lesson you will take away your own "Original Resin" piece of art. You will then be ready to create a piece by yourself. In addition to step-by-step instructions, samples will be provided for your reference.
Materials supplied by the Instuctor:
Materials fee of $50.00 paid to the instructor at the first class. Please bring a Check or Cash.
If students prefer to purchase their own materials, see the handout provided in the Red Syllabus binder at the Art Club's Monitor's desk.
Materials supplied by students:
1. Wear old clothes and bring an apron (resin stains)
2. If you have a level, bring it for your personal use. The instructor only has 2 so it may take time to get all pieces ready before applying resin.
3. A flat paint brush no wider than an inch.
4. A clean box no smaller than 14 x 14 x 3 to cover work while drying.
5. If you have a respirator mask, please bring it (highly suggested as fumes are strong). If you do not have a respirator, you may use a COVID mask, also needed for working with micro powders.
Objectives:
1. Learn techniques to use on future resin artwork.
2. Gain confidence in your ability to create resin art.
3. Take home a unique finished piece of art.
4. Once you know the basics, you are ready to create resin art pieces on your own.
5. Wearing a mask is up to you, but I would advise using it, as we are using Micro powders.
6. Look forward to having fun.
