This class is for first time and intermediate acrylic artists.
Inspired by the beauty and nature of botanicals. Students will learn about composition mixing paint colors, painting techniques and the use of a variety of brushes on canvas. Choose your background colors for the canvas and paints from the instructor’s paint box.
Materials provided by the Instructor:
All materials will be provided by the Instructor for this class.
- A digital print of the artwork will be provided to each student.
- Acrylic paints will be provided; however, Students may bring their own and brushes if they already have them; Acrylic paints and Abstract Ink pens will be presented during the class for the artwork and made available as needed from the Instructors’ paint box.
- A variety of paint brushes for use with water-based acrylics.
- Stencils and ink transfers may be used to create your artwork.
Materials for students to bring:
- Artist apron or art shirt-**optional for artists who do not want any paint on their clothing.
- Paper towels.
Objectives:
1. Students will learn composition; color theory using water based acrylics; use of brushes and applied techniques.
