Together, we'll paint our world with colors of imagination and inspiration, one stroke at a time.

Our Structure

Committees

Our Committees are our backbone to the club. There are Committee heads that manage each of these committees and report to the Board of Directors (BOD). We are run by our members. Volunteering on a Committee is a great way to get involved with the Art Club, and to connect with other artists and interested individuals. With your commitment, your help keeps the Art Club vibrant and diverse.

Following is a brief summary on our Committees and areas where you may find an interest in helping out to volunteer your skills and services.

COMMUNICATIONS/PR:
This committee maintains one cohesive voice for the Art Club. It oversees most communications from newsletters, emails, news articles and graphics, including advertisements in the Lifestyle Magazine. The website and webmaster fall under this umbrella along with the website's design/function and technical support of the system.

EDUCATION:
Whether you are a member or guest, you have an opportunity to try out a new medium or improve on your current skills. The Art Club has a diverse roster of terrific instructors. You can help choose and schedule classes and register participants. Best of all, you get to interact with talented instructors that provide sought after classes.

EXHIBITION:
Every two months we change our artwork that we display within the Studios. We also display artwork in the Computer Club and the display cases in the Chaparral Center. Exhibits draw people into the studios and allow artists to sell their works. Meet fellow artists as you assist them with their artwork during check-in on exchange days.

FACILITIES:
Keep the doors open! This committee maintains the secure entry system and annually inventories furniture and equipment. Along with Technical Support keeps the computers, software, hardware and printers working properly.

FINANCE:
For those with a head for numbers you can put your talent to good use by helping during events where there are sales or money to be collected. Working with the Art Club's Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer handles the budget and the varied ways funds are collected and processed.

MEMBERSHIP:
Keeps all our members in line. This committee assures that new members are given every opportunity to get connected to the many opportunities of the Art Club. The committee also maintains our membership records and oversees the payment of our Annual Dues.

MONITOR:
The front desk Monitor in Studio 1 keeps the Art Club open to the public. It is the Heart of our Art Club. Monitors sign people up for classes, sell artwork that is on display and welcomes prospective new members allowing them to get a feel for the club. Monitors are essential as the key point of contact for many. By participating as a Monitor, you can achieve GOLD status as a member. Gold Members have special privileges such as displaying and selling artwork and reduced price for classes! Becoming Gold only requires you to be a current member and monitoring 3 times in the last 12 months. That's it and you're GOLD!

SOCIAL:
Social Committee Plans our Social Events. The club gets together and mixes it up several times per year in these fun events. There are three to four Social Events per year and are planned and coordinated by this Committee.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
Help keep our systems running. Technical support works on Internet issues and connectivity along with the proper functioning of all computers, printers and Classroom technical connectivity.

Socials

We have fun together as a group. We get together and mix it up several times per year. With these socials, we put away our brushes, paints, and tools and just hang out. Help come up with themes and set up these mixers for all to enjoy.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:
Scheduled luncheons, dinners, museum tours, new member receptions and more hep to create a friendly, social and inviting environment for all our members. The goal of these events are to create a sense of community that fosters connections and cultivates friendships. There are three to four Social Events per year and are planned and coordinated by this Committee.

PAINT PARTIES:
Grab a glass of wine and come join us. These fun gatherings are open to all with supplies provided. Participants leave with their new masterpiece and wonderful memories.

OPEN STUDIO TIME:
Studio 1 is open to all our members to get together and create their masterpieces. There are "medium" specific days that are open for gatherings in the Studio as well as "open" days for anything that inspires you. Try out a different medium with others. There are days specific for Oils/Acrylics, Mixed Media, Pastel Drawing, Watercolor, and Jewelry. We also have days open where we paint toys provided by the Wood Working Club for donations.

Art Fairs

We participate as part of our Community in local Art Fairs. In the Spring and Fall the club actively participates in Artfusion events. These events provide all our artists, new and experienced, with excellent opportunities for showing and selling their works to the public.

ARTFUSION EVENTS:
Look forward to see the talents of our Gold Members in the Spring and Fall Art Fairs. Interact with many of our artists that help promote our club and sale hundreds of pieces of art. Our group of artists join with the rest of our community in expanding our club's vision.

MARKET DAYS:
During the Grand's Market Days the Art Club goes all out. On the first Saturday of the month from September through May we open to the public and our members get to participate. This is another opportunity where Gold members can display and sell their artwork. You can join in on the action by helping check-in members, handle sales and greet the public.

WEEKEND ARTISTS:
There are several groups of Art Club member artists who get together and display and sell their artwork over several designated weekends. They show their artworks outside of the Art Fairs and Market Days to keep our Art Club vibrant and alive within our community. You can participate by joining a group, build your own group or just help out an existing group setup, display and sell art.
