This course is desiged for new artists to learn the basic techniques of wet felting using a resist to create an abstract vessel. Wet felting over a resist is the key to creating wet felted bowls, vessels, hats, bags and more. You will have access to all kinds of fun embellishments with a variety of Luster fibers. These may include Nepps, Sari Silk Waste, Viscose, Silk Fibers, Gold Flakes and Angelina. Students should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to get wet.
Materials provided by the Instructor:
All materials will be provided by the Instructor for this class. This includes the use of professional tools Merino wool, embellishments, etc.
Materials for students to bring:
- Artist apron or art shirt (optional).
- Water or refreshment to enjoy during class.
Objectives:
1. Students will learn wet felting techniques and go home with a beautiful
felted vessel.
