Description:  Watercolor experience for beginners to create a painting

Class is designed for students who have completed the "Try Me Watercolor class" and want more instruction with close supervision as they develop their style.  Students will follow me as I demonstrate a variety of strokes an subjects.  A variety of sunsets is popular for watercolor.

Materials From Student:

• Professional paints such as Windsor Newton:  sky lake (red), cobalt blue, aerelian yellow and others of your choice. (no student grade), pallet, a variety of brushes, four 5x7 Arches 140# watercolor paper, salt, gauze, cling wrap, wax paper, pencil, eraser, Kleenex, board to hold paper, paper towels, plastic to cover your table.
• Students should bring an apron to protect clothing
• Materials may be purchased from Mary Wolke 320-251-9094. Notify me and bring $15 to purchase supplies at class.
  

Objectives:

1. Students will learn to mix colors, blend, glaze and remove paint.
2. Students will depart with a finished painting to display.
