This class will be a first! Designed to encourage collaboration between two of Grand's creative Clubs, the Art Club and the Photography Club. The course will be offered to both clubs simultaneously and will be taught by in instructor from each club. The class itself will be held in the Art Club.
Pam Careau from the Photography Club creates magnificent collages using her original photographs as a source material, while Betty Moore approahes collage through the use of found objects, hand-made papers and prints, torn-up failed paintings and other assorted ephemera.
This course will combine instruction and hands-on application of the techniques taught. Participants need not have prior experience with collage but are asked to bring:
*a playful, risk-taking, child-like mindset
*sense of humor
*spontaniety and flexibility
*curiosity and creativity
Materials Provided by Instructor:
1. Instructors will provide all materials needed for Session 1.
2. Participants will be invited to bring from home for Session 2.
Suggestions for what to bring will be covered in Session 1.
Materials Provided by Student:
Please bring $8.00 for a materials fee.
Students might want to bring an old shirt or apron to protect their clothing from adhesives used.
Objectives:

- Introduce and explore a new technique for creative expression
- Encourage robust discussion.
- Provide an opportunity to complete a personal art piece using the ideas and techniques provided.
