I will be providing examples, cutters to create shapes, craft pasta press, findings to insert into clay so students can create earrings or necklaces, parchment paper to put their items on and will take items to bake and return to the club for students to pick up.
Materials Provided by Student:
- A smooth surface tile (ceramic) such as 10x10
- An acrylic roller for pressing and combining clay
- A straight edge razor blade, preferably with handles
- Plastic sandwich bags to put extra unused clay for storage
- 3-6 different colors of polymer clay
- covering for table and apron
To make the clay permanent the pieces must be baked in a toaster oven at 275 degrees for 30 minutes. This I can furnish or students can take home and bake themselves.
Products can be purchased at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Amazon. There are frequent sales of supplies. Just check out ads, many times they offer 40% off polymer clay. You can mix different manufacturers of clay so you don't have to purchase all one type.
Objectives:
Have Fun and create something beautiful to be proud of.
